Director's Statement
This 3 minute film is about the same character Marek and his friend Sarv , who are very pleased indeed when they are allowed to leave their beach trolley porter job early in order to go for a swim and play off the floating diving platform. The intention of these films were to show Marek taking part in common or routine aspects of everyday life , like catching a bus or working in a 9 till 5 job , but finding various elements of entertainment from these events . I think that the nature of using abstract cartoony visuals makes it possible to communicate and make entertaining these simple type of events that surround us in everyday life. In some ways these animations are the opposite to many conventional live action films. Rather than containing real people and environments with stories based on fantasy events , these animated films contain abstract characters and environments with stories based on quite ordinary events .
