Director's Statement
Boredom is good, It is interesting, it is funny and it works. People who are bored, truly bored, are never boring. Their boredom is deep and chronic. It often goes back to their childhood. This eternal boredom frustrates them. The frustration results in wit, sense of humour, creativity, eccentricity and originality. Because they are always bored with that is around them, their source of entertainment has to come from within. They become entertaining themselves, fun to be with, interesting to observe. Ennui is a film that concerns just such a person.
