Flicker (1995)
Grad film
Directed by Bunny Schendler
Synopsis
Glimpses of a city are revealed in the lives led by it’s inhabitants.
Director's Statement
I like making films in which nothing much happens and the drama is in the detail. Using the detective-story form, Flicker relates the interior world of a couple isolated from one another with the exterior life of the surrounding city. The woman’s daily journey through the streets to the cinema to watch the same film, which she doesn’t realize is set in her own house, provides her with an escape from the unreality of the man’s strange activities.
