Synchrony (1997)
1st Year
Directed by Kaori Ito
Synopsis
The film simultaneously follows a day in the life of a child who has a habit of screaming before each meal and a hyper-active young man.
Director's Statement
The brief was to make a short film about body language without using any dialogue. I did not quite follow the brief in the end as I was more interested in the idea of synchronicity. However, I did not want an explicit connection between the two characters or draw moral to the story. I wanted the film to be unnerving but not unpleasant.
