Ben, like most 11 year olds, has some very specific ideas about school.

In coming to the Royal College my main goals were to develop skills as a director and combine techniques that I hadn't tried before... Somehow I wanted to get away from the shadow of my previous work and have the fresh feeling of rediscovering everything again: No attachments, no labels, no links to any particular style...Everything was possible.

In my first film at the Royal College, One Minute about my Life I faced the challenge of working with a child and making a film out of his ideas, drawings and toys.

Within pushed further that same technical approach, trying to express a particular feeling through the combination of live action, objects and photographs...This two films, with their mistakes and little victories, are another two steps in a path that will, hopefully, lead to new exciting ways to come. I hope you will enjoy following the trail...
