Director's Statement
The concept of this film was developed with a desire to make a narrative story which lent itself to dark humour. Writing and making The Flick has acheived its initial goal, whilst also giving me licence to endulge in thmes of a more personal nature. I have consciously developed my visual style from a design point of view and perhaps, more importantly, the style of the film has given me the opportunity to draw on many influences from 1960’s music, film and television. These factors have helped me to develop my own film language as wellas contirbuting to a film of a strong personal nature.
