Collision (2005)

Grad film

Directed by Max Hattler

Synopsis
Islamic patterns and American quilts and the colours and geometry of flags as an abstract field of reflection.
Director's Statement
Collision is an attempt at abstract political filmmaking. The visual language of the film is constituted by the colours and shapes of the flags of Arab countries and the USA, as well as the graphic patterns of their cultural heritage. This creates an abstracted field of reflection in which the overlaps and divergences of these cultures are played out.
