Zobeide is a collaboration between animator Julian Krispel-Samsel and musician Markus Krispel. The starting point of the project was a conversation between them about “Zobeide”, a chapter from the book “Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino. Sound and animation were made separately based on their creators individual thoughts and emotions about the literature and the conversation based on it, resulting in two narratives which merge to tell a third.
