Informed by materials related to my Father, his life, and the heart condition that led to his death, this film is a response both to the physical characteristics of the condition from which he suffered, through the sound of his actual heart beat and the chaotic electrical nature by which the heart is kept beating. The constant balance between life and death.

I use my work as a response to my own history. I want to use moving images in a way that is less connected to the conventions of cinema and narrative and more to the way we observe the world around us which is constantly in motion. Using drawing and collage I attempt to create new understanding or meaning from pre-existing material.
